Do your clients send the check directly to the cause?

I would say that you should receive the check written to the charity.  You can then note that your PBN is working and send a ‘thank you’ from your organization.  (The charity will send its own thank you note.)  A relationship may begin when the charity receives your fundraising on their behalf.
